Ops and dinner

It was a pleasure to have a bunch of friends over yesterday to put the layout through its paces. It was a sizable crew for my tiny layout, so dinner, Penn Central videos, and sharing of some ongoing projects rounded out the evening.

Truth be told, the whole thing was a thinly veiled attempt to get people to come to a birthday party I decided to throw for myself 🙂

Thanks to Steve Lyons, Bob Fallowfield, Trevor Marshall, Pierre Oliver, Ryan Mendell, Robin Talukdar, Ron Brajer, Chris van der Heide, Roger Chrysler, and Paul Bellemore. It was a blast!

I need some help with the next step. I’m itching to build the town of North Tonawanda on the opposite wall from the paper mill, down the whole wall to where the paint booth is. How wide should I keep the aisle in front of the paper plant in order to ensure creature comforts (operators being the creatures)?

  1. It was great fun, Hunter – and I’m pleased that so many people brought along projects to share. You had a talented group of modellers around your table last night.
Thanks also to your lovely better half for putting up with us for the evening.
    And happy birthday!
